RPO: How customized recruitment support can help you stay agile.

3-minute read

While the impacts of COVID-19 on our economy persist, industries continue to be affected and companies are still cutting costs to stay afoot. This has resulted in departments at various levels running lean, including HR and Talent Acquisition teams.

Whether you have a dedicated talent acquisition division or not, your team may be running with as few resources as possible and each member already carrying a heavier workload than normal. Alternatively, you might even be in one of the fortunate industries that are thriving, and you just do not have the bandwidth to take on another recruit. Maybe you are a one-person-show without any resources to completely redesign your recruitment process to accommodate remote hiring.

The great thing about Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) is that it can benefit all of these situations, and then some.

What is RPO?

RPO model

RPO involves shifting all or part of your recruitment process to an external party.

It is fundamentally about sharing your load with a team of experts who can help you stay agile and adapt to the market and current technology. RPO is completely customizable to your needs as you get to decide what part of the process you need support with.

From workforce planning and strategy development all the way to training and onboarding of new staff, you have control on what you need, when you need it, and how you want it done.

Our teams are happy to take on a specific project from start to finish. Perhaps a difficult recruit with a tight deadline or a new position in a new area and you are not sure where to start. High volume, ongoing recruits are another great project to share so you can grant yourself that extra time to invest in higher level, one-off searches.

We can even help beyond the selection process with onboarding and training. Keeping up with onboarding when you have a steady flow of new staff is challenging enough with a full team to work on it. If you’re not already set up with a fully remote onboarding process, consider leveraging our already established platform that we can modify to fit your needs and leave you with more time to connect with new hires on an individual basis.

We know that many teams are already on a tight budget so unbundling of the process, or a la carte support, can give you the best of both worlds – a bit of help at a cost your team can afford. This way you have control of what to unload, even if it is only one or two parts of the process. This can be anything from initial resume screening to any of the following:

  • Candidate search
  • Database maintenance
  • Candidate selection process (interviewing, pre qualification and testing)
  • Reference Checks (employment, criminal background, credit, education, etc.)
  • Negotiation & offer
  • Onboarding (document management and Health & Safety training)

We’ve all been affected by this pandemic, but you don’t have to go it alone. Our teams at TalentWorld consist of experts with years of experience, who know the industry inside-out. If your team can benefit from a little breathing room under a heavy workload, take a moment to speak with one of our consultants. We’re here to help!
