Dispatcher

TalentWorld has an exciting opportunity for a Dispatcher to join our client’s dynamic and growing transportation team.
If you’re a confident communicator with a knack for logistics, driver coordination, and keeping schedules running like clockwork, this is the role for you.
You’ll play a key role in dispatching freight, managing permits, and ensuring every shipment—no matter the size—arrives on time and by the book.

Dispatcher Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch trucks, drivers, and service vehicles for timely pickups and deliveries
• Track shipments in real-time and provide accurate updates to stakeholders
• Provide clear routing instructions and manage two-way communications with drivers
• Address traffic delays, freight discrepancies, and equipment availability with agility
• Maintain CVOR and HTA compliance including Hours of Service and maintenance records
• Support operations with data entry, documentation, and internal reporting

Dispatcher Qualifications:

• Experience in transportation, shipping/receiving, or freight dispatch
• Experience with pre-cast 
• Knowledge of CVOR, Hours of Service, and carrier compliance requirements
• Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word); customs knowledge is an asset
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable in high-call volume, fast-paced environments
• Familiarity with unionized workplaces is an asset
