TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Aircraft Engineer – Avionics in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
 
Responsibilities
  • Certify avionics and electrical systems for Part 23/25/27/29 aircraft per regulatory standards.
  • Review and approve designs, documents, and compliance reports.
  • Conduct conformity inspections and oversee ground/flight tests.
  • Liaise with Transport Canada, foreign CAAs, customers, and suppliers.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote team knowledge growth.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Solve technical challenges and manage risks in the certification process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Current/Recent TC Airworthiness Delegation (AP or DAR) and eligible for avionics/electrical AP.
  • 10+ years of aviation engineering experience, with 7+ years in avionics/electrical system certification.
  • 1+ year as a TC delegate person.
  • Expert in aircraft certification procedures (FAR Part 23, 25, 27, 29).
  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong knowledge of avionics/electrical systems and certification documentation.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Willing to travel domestically/internationally.
