TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Aircraft Engineer – Avionics in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Certify avionics and electrical systems for Part 23/25/27/29 aircraft per regulatory standards.
- Review and approve designs, documents, and compliance reports.
- Conduct conformity inspections and oversee ground/flight tests.
- Liaise with Transport Canada, foreign CAAs, customers, and suppliers.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote team knowledge growth.
- Ensure documentation aligns with company and regulatory requirements.
- Solve technical challenges and manage risks in the certification process.
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Current/Recent TC Airworthiness Delegation (AP or DAR) and eligible for avionics/electrical AP.
- 10+ years of aviation engineering experience, with 7+ years in avionics/electrical system certification.
- 1+ year as a TC delegate person.
- Expert in aircraft certification procedures (FAR Part 23, 25, 27, 29).
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of avionics/electrical systems and certification documentation.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Willing to travel domestically/internationally.
