- Engagement Management: Oversee multiple client engagements, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Staff Development: Mentor team members and support their professional growth.
- File Reviews: Perform and review audit, review, compilation, and tax files for accuracy and compliance.
- Client Interaction: Act as a point of contact, addressing inquiries and delivering strategic financial advice.
- Standards and Compliance: Maintain expertise in Canadian Auditing Standards, tax compliance, and accounting regulations.
- CPA designation (required).
- 5+ years of public accounting experience, ideally with a small-to-medium-sized firm.
- Proficiency in Caseware Working Papers; experience with Sage 50 and QuickBooks is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO).
- Expertise in personal, corporate, and estate/trust tax.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- In-depth tax certification is an asset.
- Willingness to work extended hours during tax season (March–April).
