TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Avionics Certification Engineer in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Certify avionics and electrical systems for Part 23/25/27/29 aircraft in compliance with TC standards.
- Review, approve, and validate engineering documents and design for avionics/electrical systems.
- Conduct conformity inspections and witness ground and flight tests.
- Ensure certification paperwork is maintained per company procedures.
- Liaise with Transport Canada and foreign CAAs for certification processes.
- Serve as technical contact for customers and suppliers.
- Provide support to MRO, Sales, Manufacturing, and Customer Support teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and assist in their professional development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or electrical engineering.
- Transport Canada airworthiness delegation (AP/DAR) required.
- Eligible for delegation as an Avionics/Electrical AP within the Avmax DAO.
- 5+ years in avionics/electrical engineering, with experience in certification processes.
- Familiarity with Part 23/25/27/29 aircraft preferred.
- Strong knowledge of avionics/electrical systems and aircraft certification procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks preferred).
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
