TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Avionics Certification Engineer in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
 
Responsibilities
  • Certify avionics and electrical systems for Part 23/25/27/29 aircraft in compliance with TC standards.
  • Review, approve, and validate engineering documents and design for avionics/electrical systems.
  • Conduct conformity inspections and witness ground and flight tests.
  • Ensure certification paperwork is maintained per company procedures.
  • Liaise with Transport Canada and foreign CAAs for certification processes.
  • Serve as technical contact for customers and suppliers.
  • Provide support to MRO, Sales, Manufacturing, and Customer Support teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and assist in their professional development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or electrical engineering.
  • Transport Canada airworthiness delegation (AP/DAR) required.
  • Eligible for delegation as an Avionics/Electrical AP within the Avmax DAO.
  • 5+ years in avionics/electrical engineering, with experience in certification processes.
  • Familiarity with Part 23/25/27/29 aircraft preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of avionics/electrical systems and aircraft certification procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks preferred).
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
