Operations Officer III Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the trade settlement process, ensuring that all transactions are accurately processed within stipulated timelines.
- Create and maintain reports related to trade settlements, providing insights and updates to internal teams as needed.
- Respond promptly and professionally to emails from traders, brokers, and other internal stakeholders, ensuring that all queries and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all relevant trade data and settlement activities. Maintain comprehensive logs for internal reference and compliance.
- Act as a point of contact for brokers, facilitating smooth communication and resolving any issues related to trade settlements or discrepancies.
- Manage email communications efficiently, ensuring that all inquiries, requests, and issues are addressed within appropriate timeframes to avoid delays in operations.
- 5-7 years of experience in a banking or financial operations role, particularly within trade settlements.
- Experience working with Depositary Systems such as CDS (Canadian Depository for Securities) or DTC (Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation) is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: Strong understanding of VLOOKUP, running macros (not writing), and maintaining speed and accuracy with data management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook for email management and communication.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with various internal teams, brokers, and traders.
- Excellent organizational skills, ensuring that all operations and transactions are carried out with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- A relevant degree or diploma in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Any additional certifications related to trade settlements or financial operations would be an asset.
- Salary: $24.74 an hour
- Benefits: 40 Hours Weekly, Hybrid (2 days onsite,3 days remote)
- Duration: 1 year contract with possibility of extension
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
- Location: Toronto, ON
