TalentWorld is recruiting a Aircraft Structures Engineer (Aviation) in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and modify aircraft structures, systems, and furnishings to meet regulations and customer needs.
- Create and validate detailed engineering drawings and perform structural analysis (hand calculations, FEA).
- Develop, review, and approve technical documents, including reports, test plans, and maintenance manuals.
- Conduct engineering inspections to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Lead projects, manage timelines, and collaborate with internal teams (MRO, Avionics, Sales).
- Mentor junior engineers and co-op students.
- Assist with project estimates, budgets, and schedules.
- Maintain documentation in line with company procedures and industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or related field).
- Advanced degrees or technical diplomas are a plus.
- P.Eng. preferred (ENG L or P Tech accepted).
- Minimum of 7 years in aviation engineering, with a focus on aircraft structures.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, FEMAP, or ANSYS.
- Strong knowledge of FAR design standards and aircraft certification.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Aircraft structural certification is a plus.
- Ability to travel as required.
