Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft engines per the Engine Shop Manager’s instructions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation.
- Inspect incoming parts and oversee parts scrapping with necessary approvals.
- Certify engine repairs, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Document and resolve deferred defects following proper procedures.
- Train and mentor junior technicians as directed.
- Provide regular job updates and report defects or work stoppages.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure proper tool use.
- Adhere to all safety, maintenance, and company policies.
- Lift up to 50 lbs when required and participate in training courses.
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) certification or equivalent (asset).
- 3-5 years of experience with gas turbine engines.
- Preferred Engine Experience:
- De Havilland Dash 8-Q400 (PW150A)
- Airbus A320 Family (CFM56-5A/B)
- Pratt & Whitney PW100, PW4000
- CRJ100/200, CRJ700/900, CRJ1000
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and engine repair techniques.
- Proficient in aircraft maintenance tracking systems (e.g., CAMP, AMOS) and Microsoft Office (Basic).
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
- Salary: Starting at $25+ per hour.
