TalentWorld is recruiting a Aircraft Engine Technician in Winnipeg, Manitoba for one of our clients.
 
 Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft engines per the Engine Shop Manager’s instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Inspect incoming parts and oversee parts scrapping with necessary approvals.
  • Certify engine repairs, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Document and resolve deferred defects following proper procedures.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians as directed.
  • Provide regular job updates and report defects or work stoppages.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure proper tool use.
  • Adhere to all safety, maintenance, and company policies.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs when required and participate in training courses.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) certification or equivalent (asset).
  • 3-5 years of experience with gas turbine engines.
  • Preferred Engine Experience:
    • De Havilland Dash 8-Q400 (PW150A)
    • Airbus A320 Family (CFM56-5A/B)
    • Pratt & Whitney PW100, PW4000
    • CRJ100/200, CRJ700/900, CRJ1000
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and engine repair techniques.
  • Proficient in aircraft maintenance tracking systems (e.g., CAMP, AMOS) and Microsoft Office (Basic).
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
Employment Details
  • Salary: Starting at $25+ per hour.
