TalentWorld is recruiting a Accounting Specialist (Part Time) in Burnaby, British Columbia for one of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger entries and perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Support accounts payable functions and ensure accurate invoicing.
- Use Sage 50 and Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Help ensure compliance with accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Collaborate with teams to streamline financial operations and improve processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA (preferred but not mandatory), or other relevant accounting certifications.
- At least two years of hands-on experience in an accounting role.
- Experience with Sage 50 accounting software is must.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and bank reconciliations.
- Familiarity with accounts payable functions and processes.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Salary: $25.00HR - $30.00HR
- Benefits: Part-Time, 16-20 Hours per Week, Fully Onsite (3 Days a Week, 4 Hours per Day)
- Schedule: Flexible Schedule (Availability Required Between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
- Other: 3-6 Month Contract with Possibility of Extension
