TalentWorld is recruiting a Commercial Driver (Class 3) in Winnipeg, Manitoba for one of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
- Keep accurate logs of deliveries, fuel usage, and vehicle mileage.
- Follow planned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers to update delivery status.
- Provide professional and courteous service to all customers.
- Adhere to traffic regulations and company safety policies.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks on vehicles when necessary.
- Always ensure the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle.
- Handle paperwork related to deliveries and inventory management.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or delivery issues to the supervisor.
- Comply with regulations for transporting hazardous materials (if required).
- Assist with warehouse operations, including stock management and order picking.
- Attend training sessions to stay informed about safety procedures and industry practices.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class 3 DZ driver's license.
- At least 2 years of proven commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major infractions.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide compliance documents.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving up to 50lbs.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in using GPS and other navigation tools.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledgeable about traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable work ethic.
- Ability to travel within and outside of Winnipeg, across the province.
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Salary: $24.00HR
- Benefits: 40 hours weekly, Permanent, Fulltime, Onsite
- Schedule: 6:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday to Friday (possibility of weekend or holidays if needed.
