TalentWorld is recruiting a Road Service Technician in Ottawa, Ontario, for one of our partners.
What’s in it for you:
- Permanent, Full-Time Position
- Regular Hours: 8 am – 5 pm
- Salary: Starting at $32.47/hour, with potential for higher based on experience
- Conduct maintenance and repair services for internal combustion or diesel trucks at customer locations, ensuring equipment functionality and safety.
- Diagnose, repair, and adjust mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components, recommending and executing repair solutions.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance checks.
- Accurately document repairs and analyze breakdowns following standard procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with customers, providing knowledgeable service and technical insights.
- Experience: 3-5 years as a Mechanical Technician or similar role in industrial or heavy-duty equipment repair.
- Mandatory: Certification as a Truck and Coach 310T Technician or Heavy-Duty Technician.
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems of battery and engine-powered material handling equipment.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and measuring devices.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment handling, including dismantling, installing, and maintaining machinery.
- Knowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and safety regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Flexibility to work in varying weather conditions.
