TalentWorld is recruiting a Accounts Receivable Specialist in Winnipeg, Manitoba for one of our clients.
 
Responsibilities

  • Collect payments and communicate with customers via phone and email.
  • Post customer payments accurately and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Manage and reduce overdue accounts and process valid deductions.
  • Handle fixed asset transactions and support month-end financial tasks.
  • Post and reconcile vendor invoices and assist with wire transfers and EFT payments.
  • Process online loan remittances and manage returned checks.
  • Conduct daily audits, reconcile accounts receivable, and monitor cash balances.
  • Address overpayment issues and assist with monthly bank reconciliations
      
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, financial reporting, or a similar role
  • Experience with SAP (must) and other accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge of fixed asset management and vendor management processes
  • Strong understanding of billing, invoicing, and collection procedures
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and vendors.
  • Ability to handle financial discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Certification in Accounts Receivable or similar (asset)
  • Familiarity with online loan processing and reconciliation (preferred)

Employment Details
  • Salary: $23.00HR - $25.00HR
  • Benefits: Full-time, 40 hours per week, onsite position with weekly pay
  • Schedule: 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday to Friday
  • Other: 6-month contract with potential for extension and permanent placement
