In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Accounts Receivable and Billing, leading a team of 11 administrators and analysts. Your focus will be on efficiently managing end-to-end Accounts Receivable operations.

  • Salary: $105,000 - $125,000 based on experience, plus a 12.5% increase if you opt into the benefits plan

Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable & Billing Responsibilities
  • Plan and Direct Daily Operations: Lead the Accounts Receivable & Billing section by providing guidance, motivation, and training to ensure high performance and quality of service.
  • Organize Efficient Operations: Oversee the SSC Financial Services activities related to Accounts Receivable & Billing, ensuring performance, quality of service, and adherence to established accounting principles.
  • Safeguard Corporate Assets: Implement and maintain practices, processes, and controls to protect the Corporation’s assets.
  • Support Financial Analysis: Analyze financial information to assist the Director of SSC Financial Services.
  • Maximize Service Utilization: Develop and recommend proposals to enhance the utilization of SSC Financial Services for employees and management across the Corporation.
  • Participate in Senior Management: Serve as a key member of the senior management team within the SSC Department.
  • Mitigate Risks: Ensure process controls are in place to prevent human error or fraud, which could lead to significant errors or losses.
  • Oversee Testing Requirements: Manage testing requirements and documentation of test results.
  • Generate Reports: Regularly produce various reports such as AR aging, KPI reports, reconciliation reports, audit results, and estimated credit losses.

Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable & Billing Qualifications
  • Professional Accounting Designation: Preferably holding a CGA, CMA, CCP, or CA designation, or in the final year of a recognized program.
  • Experience: Three to five years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.
  • Staff Management: Extensive experience in supervising and managing staff.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with SAP software and familiarity with other software packages for reporting and project management.
  • Bilingualism: Fluency in English & French is mandatory.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in advanced Excel functions and general reporting.
  • Best Practices and Optimization: Ability to recommend best practices and develop optimization strategies in collaboration with the department director.
