TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Financial Reporting Consultant in Northeast Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting documents.
- Assist with regulatory disclosures and filings, especially in the US.
- Research and analyze new accounting pronouncements and IFRS issues.
- Conduct complex accounting analyses for various transactions.
- Provide technical accounting guidance to ensure compliance.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Monitor accounting standards and implement new policies.
- Mentor and support team members with feedback and knowledge sharing.
- Apply SOX and internal control concepts to new processes.
- Build relationships with stakeholders for accounting inquiries.
- Participate in ad-hoc transactions and special projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or internationally recognized accounting designation (e.g., ACCA).
- 8+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or industry.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and complex transactions.
- Experience with multi-jurisdictional entities and multi-currencies preferred.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative team player.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Understanding of SOX compliance requirements.
- Salary: $85.000 - $130.000
- Benefits: 40 hours weekly, Permanent, Full-time, Onsite
- Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
