TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Financial Reporting Consultant in Northeast Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting documents.
  • Assist with regulatory disclosures and filings, especially in the US.
  • Research and analyze new accounting pronouncements and IFRS issues.
  • Conduct complex accounting analyses for various transactions.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to ensure compliance.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Monitor accounting standards and implement new policies.
  • Mentor and support team members with feedback and knowledge sharing.
  • Apply SOX and internal control concepts to new processes.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders for accounting inquiries.
  • Participate in ad-hoc transactions and special projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or internationally recognized accounting designation (e.g., ACCA).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or industry.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and complex transactions.
  • Experience with multi-jurisdictional entities and multi-currencies preferred.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Understanding of SOX compliance requirements.
Employment Details
  • Salary: $85.000 - $130.000
  • Benefits: 40 hours weekly, Permanent, Full-time, Onsite
  • Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
